As a result of the collision, the client had injuries to her neck and back. She also experienced carpal tunnel as a result of the accidents as well as headaches.
The client was a passenger in a vehicle traveling south bound on I-15. The car she was in stopped for traffic when it was rear-ended at a high speed and pushed into the vehicle in front of it.
Medical Treatment for Injuries
The client was forced to undergo extensive treatments starting with medical examinations with John Soumi, DDS who treated her for injuries to her TMJ. The Client also received treatment from Steven A. Holper, M.D., and Gary J. La Tourette, M.D. who performed carpal tunnel surgery to repair injuries caused by the accident.
This accident caused the client to undergo in excess of $100,000.00 in medical and dental treatment including the surgeries, medical and dental tests and physical therapy. The total amount of insurance coverage for this case was $115,000.00, including the client’s Under Insured Motorist (UIM) Coverage. Fortunately, we were able to work with the client’s insurer and the medical providers to provide her some measure of compensation for the injuries she suffered as a result of another driver’s negligence. We, as well as the providers, took a reduction in our fees in fairness to the injured client.
