Las Vegas personal injury lawyer, Allen A. Cap, of the law firm Cap & Kudler, has settled a case on behalf of his client who was a victim of a hit-and-run vehicle accident. The client was was attempting to go left at an intersection when the other driver failed to stop at a stop sign causing and crashed into passenger right rear side of the client’s Volkswagen. Fortunately, a witness followed the hit and run driver getting his License Plate Number. The Metropolitan Police Department tracked down the other driver who was driving the Jeep with the owner’s permission.
The client suffered from injuries to her head, back, and left shoulder. She also had a fainting condition causing her to pass out twice in front of her doctors. Our client immediately went to the Urgent Care at SouthWest Medical to be treated for the injuries caused by the accident. She was seen at the Southwest Neck and Back Clinic where she was treated for the neck and back injuries caused by the accident. She also received treatment for the injuries to her neck, back, shoulder and headaches from Primary Care Consultants. She was referred to Las Vegas Radiology for MRI’s of her spine as part of the necessary treatment for injuries caused by the accident. Spring Valley Specialty Pharmacy supplied her with medications prescribed for the injuries and conditions caused by the accident.
In this case the other driver was not the owner of the Black SUV involved in the hit-and-run. We had to file a claim with both the owner’s and the driver’s auto insurance. We were able to settle with both of those insurers within their policy limits. Our client was also covered by Uninsured/Under Insured Motorist coverage had there been no, or inadequate, insurance on the other side.
Allen A. Cap, says “We got our client a decent settle amount for her pain and suffering caused by this hit-and-run car accident. It was fortunate that the witness and the Police were able to track down the individual who caused this accident allowing us to settle with the responsible parties rather than our client’s first party coverage. I’m glad I was able to help with getting the proper medical attention and justice due.”
